# Per-Channel Price Management for Your Product Catalog

> Define separate prices for every sales channel, let Pixa Lab factor in commissions and shipping costs, and update your entire catalog in bulk via Excel.

Pixa Lab's price management tools give you precise control over what you charge on every sales channel. Because each marketplace carries its own commission structure and shipping expectations, a single list price rarely works across the board. Pixa Lab lets you set a distinct price per channel, calculate that price automatically based on each channel's costs, and update thousands of prices at once — either through the built-in bulk editor or by uploading an Excel file.

## How Per-Channel Pricing Works

When you assign a price to a product on a specific channel, Pixa Lab can compute the final selling price for you by accounting for two cost factors:

* **Channel commission rate** — the percentage fee the marketplace charges on each sale, configured per channel in **Settings → Integrations**.
* **Shipping cost** — a fixed or calculated shipping amount associated with that channel.

Pixa Lab adds these costs to your base price and suggests a selling price that covers your margins. You can accept the suggestion, adjust it manually, or override automatic calculation entirely and enter a price directly.

Every price you set in Pixa Lab is channel-specific. Changing the price on one channel never affects prices on any other channel.

## Set a Price for a Specific Channel

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the product card">
    In **Products**, find the product you want to price and click its name to open the card.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to the Pricing tab">
    Inside the product card, select the **Pricing** tab. You will see a row for each sales channel connected to your account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the target channel">
    Click **Set Price** next to the channel you want to configure.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter or calculate the price">
    Type a price directly into the **Selling Price** field, or click **Calculate** to let Pixa Lab generate a suggested price based on the channel's commission rate and shipping cost. Review the breakdown before accepting.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the price">
    Click **Save**. The updated price is pushed to the channel immediately if the product is already listed and active there.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Commission rates and shipping costs used in automatic calculation are pulled from each channel's settings. Go to **Settings → Integrations**, select a channel, and update these values there before running a calculation if they have changed.
</Note>

## Bulk-Update Prices via Excel

Use the Excel import flow when you need to update prices across a large portion of your catalog at once.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Download the price update template">
    Go to **Products → Price Management** and click **Download Excel Template**. The file contains columns for product SKU, channel name, and selling price — as well as optional columns for cost price and any manual margin override.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill in your updated prices">
    Open the template and enter the new selling price for each product–channel combination you want to update. Leave rows blank to keep existing prices unchanged. Save the file in `.xlsx` format.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload the file">
    Return to **Products → Price Management**, click **Import Prices**, and select your completed spreadsheet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the import summary">
    Pixa Lab validates the file and shows a preview of all price changes, including products where the new price would result in a negative margin. Correct any issues in the spreadsheet and re-upload if needed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm and apply">
    Click **Apply Changes**. Pixa Lab updates every listed price and pushes the changes to the relevant channels.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  For catalogs with hundreds or thousands of SKUs, the **bulk price editor** inside Pixa Lab is faster than Excel for incremental updates. Go to **Products → Price Management → Bulk Editor**, filter by category or channel, and apply a percentage increase or fixed amount to the entire filtered set in seconds — no file download required.
</Tip>

## Review Pricing Logs

Every price change — whether set individually, imported via Excel, or applied through the bulk editor — is recorded in **Logs → Action Logs**. Filter by action type **Price Update** to see a timestamped history of each change, including the previous price, the new price, and the team member who made the update.
